About Cazenovia Creek
Cazenovia Creek is Buffalo Creek's larger sister, draining 135 square miles of WNY through the southern Buffalo suburbs and the Cazenovia Park reach. The creek joins the Buffalo River below the city and holds steelhead well through the lower reaches in fall and spring. Park access in the city is excellent; the Spring Brook upstream stretches require more local knowledge.
October through April with strong fall and spring peaks. Park-bordered urban reaches give convenient access; upper stretches reward exploration.
